FightCyberstalking.org - Online Safety Tips: Deactivate your Twitter Account

If you're currently being cyberstalked, or you were cyberstalked in the past and you're using Twitter and feeling stressed out using the site rather than having fun, you may wish to deactivate your account. Keep in mind that deactivating your account is permanent. Once you feel comfortable you can come back again in a couple of months and rejoin using a different username.

Here's how to deactivate your account:

First, login to your Twitter account.

Next, click on "Settings."

Scroll down the "Settings" page and click "Deactivate my account."
